Lytham St. Annes Lions donate £1000 to Fylde Sharks

The Lytham St.Annes Lions Club handed over a cheque for £1000 to the Fylde Sharks Disability Swimming Club following their annual Swimathon.

Dave Shaw, President of the Lytham St.Annes Lions Club said: “The Lions have always admired the Fylde Sharks and what they do for Disabled children In the Fylde area, It is an honour to be able to present them with a cheque for £1000 to support them in their efforts.”

Helen Jenkins, Secretary to the Fylde Sharks added: “We cannot thank the Lions Club enough for the contribution they have made to the club, If it wasn’t for generous donations such as these we wouldn’t be able to afford to keep the club running and continue with the work that we do.”

The Money donated will help to sustain the club by helping with the running costs, and it is also being spent on some new sensory equipment for the pool. The children enjoy having equipment to use in the pool, and it is a very important part of their stimulation and development. The Equipment is an essential part of improving their motor skills and their hand eye co ordination.

Thank you so much from all at Fylde Sharks
